
Anil Deshmukh, former Home Minister of Maharashtra has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday. He has been charged in a money laundering case of bribery of ₹100 crore, officials said.
On Friday night ED carried out raids in Mumbai and Nagpur and arrested his secretary Sanjeev Palande and PA Kundan Shinde. He has been summoned under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Deshmukh resigned from the post of Home Minister in April. He has been allocated by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bri Singh.
