
According to the Public Debt Management report for the January-March 2021 quarter, released by the Finance Ministry on Friday, at the end of March 2021, the total liabilities of the government stood ₹ 116.21 lakh crore, which has risen 6.36% from the previous quarter, which also include the liabilities under ‘Public Account’.
Public debt accounted for 88.10 per cent of total outstanding liabilities at end-March 2021.
Nearly 9.33 per cent of the outstanding dated securities had a residual maturity of less than 5 years.
