MSC Bank challenges the amendments to the BRA

The apex bank Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank had decided to file a petition in the Bombay High Court to oppose the Centre’s amendments to the Banking Regulation (Amendment) Act 2020.

According to the report published by the Free Press Journal, the MSC Bank Chairman said that these amendments are against the principles of democratic control and cooperation. He further said he will oppose the appointment of a paid chairman in the bank as it’s against the cooperative principle.
