Another attempt by former President Donald Trump to stop congressional investigators was unsuccessful.


Former President Donald Trump failed another battle on Wednesday to prevent congressional investigators from accessing White House papers that he wants to keep private.

Judge Tanya Chutkan of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia refused to stay her judgement from Tuesday enabling a House of Representatives committee to access Trump White House papers related to the fatal Jan. 6 attack on the United States Capitol.

She wrote, “This court will not effectively reject its own logic.”

Chutkan’s decision allowed the House committee investigating the attack to access telephone records, visitor logs and other White House documents that Trump wants to be blocked. read more
