According to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Asia-Pacific region must not revert to Cold War-era hostilities.
Attempts to establish ideological boundaries or construct narrow circles on geopolitical grounds, Xi warned in a recorded video message to a CEO roundtable on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting held by New Zealand, were doomed to fail.
“The Asia-Pacific area cannot and should not revert to the Cold War era’s conflict and division,” Xi remarked.
A date has not been announced for the Xi-Biden meeting, but a person briefed on the matter said it was expected to be as soon as next week. read more
