Sources say Israel is set to roll out COVID-19 vaccines for minors, in essence, children aged between 5-11. It becomes one of the very few countries to be able to do so.
The move is being done to avoid a yet another coronavirus wave which the country might get affected with. In the summer, the country had experience a substantial surge in the coronavirus cases due to the new Delta variant and therefore, had become one of the first countries to launch a vaccination campaign. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett calls upon the parents to encourage their children to take their jab.
