The number of new cases across the 31 countries of the EU/EEA rose by 19% week on week, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) revealed. For week 44, 10 countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, etc) were categorized as of very high concern, 13 countries (Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland,etc) as of high concern, three countries (Cyprus, France and Portugal) as of moderate concern and four countries (Italy, Malta, Spain and Sweden) as of low concern.
