Taliban, which has taken over Afghanistan since August, has called on the US Congress members to release frozen Afghan assets. Amir Khan Muttaqi, Taliban’s foreign minister, asserted that Afghanistan’s one of the major and biggest challenge in the near future might be a huge financial crisis.

He further expressed his idea that the States should release the country’s frozen assets as it might help bring down the financial insecurity. He said if the current situation continues, the economic turmoil would worsen and could lead to humanitarian and economic issues.
