The launch of SpaceX’s fifth crewed mission has begun.
On Wednesday, a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft carrying four astronauts launched into orbit atop a Falcon 9 rocket, marking the start of the company’s sixth crewed trip to orbit.
The spacecraft, which will be manned by three NASA astronauts and one European astronaut, will spend the whole day Wednesday drifting closer to the International Space Station (ISS), where it will dock late Thursday to begin a six-month science and research mission.
Docking is scheduled for 7:10 pm ET Thursday.
