Attorney General KK Venugopal’s term extended by 1 year

According to ANI, Government of India extends the tenure of Attorney General KK Venugopal by one more year till June 30, 2022, on Monday. Notably, his tenure was extended last year as well. He was appointed as AG on July 1, 2017.

About Attorney General Venugopal

He took over as the 15th AG of India after the resignation of former AG Mukul Rohatgi. Venugopal has been a practicing lawyer for nearly six decades. He was Additional Solicitor General once in Morarji Desai’s Government.
