Centre liberalised guidelines for Other Service Providers

The Centre has liberalised guidelines for Other Service Providers by removing the distinction between domestic and international OSP. Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ravi Shankar, said that BPO centre with common telecom resource will now be able to serve customers all over the world, including India. Currently, India’s IT-BPM industry stands at USD 37.6 billion, which is approximately Rs. 2.8 lakh crores giving out job opportunities to many youths in the country. A potential of double-digit growth reaching up to USD 55.5 billion, that is , Rs. 3.9 lakh crores by 2025.
