According to the report published by Business Line, farmers are raising concerns about privacy, exclusion of poor farmers and those without lands on the plan built by Indian government to build digital databases of farmers.
It will be built by Microsoft for the agriculture ministry’s AgriStack in 100 villages in 6 states.
Each farmer will have a unique digital identification that contains personal details and information about lands and it will be linked with an Aadhar Card.
Farmers are protesting because this project was declared without consulting farmers.
