Supreme Court Judge Aniruddha Bose rescued himself on Tuesday from hearing appeals of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and state law minister Moloy Ghatak about their role on the arrest day of four TMC leaders by CBI in the Narada sting tape case.
The court was set to hear three appeals including the state government’s challenging the high court’s denial for filing of affidavits by Banerjee. The state ruling party is alleged to play a major role in ceasing the CBI from carrying out legal duty after the arrest of the TMC leaders.
