Airtel has deployed 600G and 800G photonic technology in metropolitans like Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai. The new technology is said to increase the network threshold and provide 5G service in India. Ciena, the telecommunication industry and service provider has partnered with Airtel to bring out this technology. Primarily , the focus is given to establish optic fiber capacity which is required to roll 5G services. Both the company aims to install intelligent software to create the largest photonics Control Plane network in India.
