India is losing its charm in Test Cricket. Recently, New Zealand thrashed India by eight wickets in the ICC WTC Final. The defensive approach of India is becoming an issue.
Number 3 batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is known for his patience in Test Cricket but this is not becoming fruitful for India. After his last Test century in January 2019 in Australia, he has 9 single diet scores and his only substantial inning is 77 against Australia in Sydney. In the last three series he averages 26.35 with the strike rate of 30.20.
India is thinking to drop Pujara and to shift Kohli at 3 which will let Vihari or Rahul play in the XI in the 5 Test match series against England.
