On this day, June 28, 1997, the youngest heavyweight champion Michael Gerald Tyson has lost his boxing license as he bites Evander Holyfield’s ears during a boxing match. He also got disqualified after the incident. Talking about the same in an interview, Tyson said last year, “I really lost consciousness of the whole fight. It took me out of my fight plan and everything.” Following the controversies, he went through bankruptcy and also got arrested for cocaine use.
